SHOW COLLECTION DEBUTS AT
THE CITYARTS FACTORY IN DOWNTOWN ORLANDO

art and design comes together to support Ronald McDonald House
Charities in Orlando
Orlando,
FL (August 10, 2007)
– The International Academy of Design & Technology is hosting a
Fifty/50 Art show at the Cityarts Factory in downtown Orlando.
The show will open in conjunction with Downtown Art District’s
Third Thursday’s Art event.
The Fifty/50
Art Show will exhibit a wide range of faculty and student works,
in a variety of categories such as Advertising, Digital Media,
Fine Art, Fine Crafts, Furniture Design, Graphic Design,
Interior Architecture & Design, Photography, Print Media,
Sculpture, Wearable Art and Poetry. “Our students and faculty
are extremely talented” said Ian Gill, newly appointed president
at the Academy. “This is a great opportunity for the community
of Orlando to see first hand the artistic talent that resides in
this town and to support a great charity that has called Orlando
home for many years.”
The Grand
Opening Reception is on Thursday, August 16th from
6-9pm. This event is free and open to the public. Experience
incredible works of art as you enjoy live acoustical guitar
music and complimentary hors d’oeuvres catered by TOO JAY’S
Original Gourmet Deli. The Fifty/50 Art collection will be on
display August 16th – September 9th, for
those that cannot make the opening reception.
Various
pieces of art will be available for purchase, with a portion of
the sales donated to the Ronald McDonald House Charities® of
Central Florida in support of the Ronald McDonald House® program
in Orlando. The two Ronald McDonald Houses serve as a
“home-away-from-home” for families of seriously ill children who
are receiving treatment at local hospitals.
